Uzbekistan celebrated 28th Anniversary of it’s Independence Day
The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea. Among the guests there were officials, representatives of ministries and agencies, heads of leading economic organizations and companies, media, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to the Republic of Korea.
Welcoming speeches noted the achievements of Uzbekistan over the years of independent development, the implementation of the State program for the implementation of the Strategy on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the «Year of active investment and social development».
On behalf of the government and nation of South Korea the main guest of the event, Minister of Health and Welfare Mr. Park NeungHoo congratulated Uzbekistan on a significant date and highly appreciated the dynamic development of relations between Uzbekistan and Korea, upgraded to the level of special strategic partnership. He welcomed the policy of transformations on modernization of country initiated by H.E. President Shavkat Miriyoyev.
The Honorable Adviser of Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the General Director of LLC «Evergreen Motors» Mr. Kim Chang Keon during his speech noted, that considering the dynamic growth of economy and favorable investment climate, many foreign businesses show great interest in developing cooperation with Uzbek partners. «I am convinced that successfully completed and currently carried out large joint projects ensures the further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries in all spheres,» he noted.
The Chairman of “Korea-Uzbekistan” Friendship association, Kim Yun Seek emphasized, that Uzbekistan is a reliable partner and one of the most promising countries for Korean investors. From his perspective, the most valuable asset in korea-uzbek relationship is the trust, built over the years of cooperation.
The concert program of the “Navo” vocal and instrumental ensemble from Ferghana created a festive atmosphere.
Within the framework of the event, a photo exhibition was also organized, telling about achievements of the Republic of Uzbekistan, earned over the years of its independence and about picturing historical landmarks, investment and tourism potential.
