President awards World Chess Olympiad winners and participants
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a Decree on awarding the winners and participants of the World Chess Olympiad 2022 with honorary titles and medals.
According to the document, they are awarded for the vivid manifestation of high intellectual potential and professional skills, the multiplication of the glory and authority of the New Uzbekistan all over the world, successful participation in the 44th World Chess Olympiad in India’s Chennai and the victory among 188 teams of the countries of the world, becoming worthy of the high honor of being called Olympic champions, as well as great merits in the wide popularization of sports in the country, education of the younger generation in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland, the formation of feelings of national pride, courage and patriotism.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Jakhongir Vakhidov, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, Javokhir Sindarov, Nodirbek Yakubboyev are awarded the honorary title “O’zbekiston Iftikhori” (Pride of Uzbekistan). Vladimir Yegin and Ivan Sokolov are awarded the honorary title “O’zbekiston Republikasida Khizmat Ko’rsatgan Sport Ustozi” (Honored Coach of the Republic of Uzbekistan), and Maftuna Bobomurodova, Marjona Malikova, Umida Omonova, Afruza Khamdamova, Nilufar Yakubbayeva – “Kelajak Bunyodkori” (Builder of the Future) medal.
