Bukhara develops pilgrimage tourism

A delegation led by the Hokim of Bukhara region Botir Zaripov visited Malaysia.

During the visit, organized to negotiate with representatives of the tourism sector, widely promote pilgrimage tourism in Bukhara, increase the flow of tourists, Botir Zaripov, as an honored guest, took part in the 3rd World Islamic Tourism Conference in Kuala Lumpur.

A presentation on the possibilities of the pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan was held. Information was given about the large-scale practical efforts undertaken by the President of the country and the tasks for the future.

At the same time, the tourism companies of the region also held presentations in the direction of pilgrimage tourism. Exhibitions dedicated to the formation of interesting tourism products have been organized. Over 50 cooperation agreements have been signed with Malaysian travel companies. An agreement was reached on cooperation in the development of pilgrimage tourism.

Views were exchanged on strengthening cooperation between the Hokimiyat of Bukhara region and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia.
