Baysun district of Surkhandarya region has an amazing red gorge. Experts describe the mountain pass, no different from the canyons of Arizona in America, as the unique natural wonder of the region. The length of the gorge is more than 30 kilometers, and the highest point of the area is Mount Buritath with a height of 1300 meters.

The amazing canyon has been of great interest to tourists for centuries. Because it offers an incredibly stunning view that cannot be found anywhere else. Once here, you can feel like a guest of another planet.

In summer and autumn, the red gorge resembles an endless desert. In winter, the rock glistens with delicate hoarfrost or is covered with white snow. In spring, the land in the gorge is decorated with a variety of cereals, medicinal herbs and fragrant plants, which create a picturesque flower carpet, as if created by the skillful weavers of Baysun.

According to the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Surkhandarya region, it is planned to build tourism infrastructure and various service centers around the attractive canyon, as well as create modern conditions so that local and foreign tourists could explore the amazing secrets of nature, enjoy its beauty and engage in outdoor activities.
